Black Bear Hunting



  • Colors! Hunters are now allowed to wear a vest (an outer garment that covers the upper torso) coloured scarlet, bright yellow, blaze orange or white during rifle seasons. Head wear must be any one of these color except white.  Warm clothes and footwear, including hats and gloves.

  • Inreach or satellite phone. There is no service in most of the stands so we recommend an Inreach (Satellite text) for communication 

  • Waterproof clothes and footwear

  • Headlamp / flash light 

  • Toiletries 

  • Day pack

  • Insect Repellant / Thermo-Cell’s are highly recommended and are the only form of repellant we let hunters use while in the stand.

  • Bow arm, tree hook and pull up rope.

  • Safety Harness

  • Fishing gear

 

Optional:  

 

  • Camera / Video camera and camera arm.

  • Scent-free shampoo and body wash

  • Scent-free deodorant

 

(All bedding and towels are provided for your convenience.)

Alberta Wilderness Hunts



  • Alberta does not require hunters to wear colors during their hunt. Its completely up to you if you want to wear them during the course of your hunt.

  • Quiet waterproof clothes and footwear. Temperatures at this time can range from high 70's to low 20's, be prepared for any weather in the mountains! (Muck boots or something comparable are also highly recommended along with a pair of hikers.)

  • Headlamp / flashlight

  • Toiletries

  • Day Pack

  • Shooting stick

  • Binoculours / rangefinder

  • Sleeping bag / pillow. (Please make sure the sleeping bag is very warm rated -30 degrees Celsius or better with nights possibly getting down well below freezing.)
